TEACHING INTERESTS

My teaching focuses on entomology, insect biology, and environmental science, with an emphasis on connecting fundamental concepts to real-world ecological and applied questions. I have taught and co-taught courses ranging from insect-borne disease and environmental analysis to research-based laboratory courses in insect genetics and genomics. I particularly enjoy incorporating active learning and authentic research experiences into the classroom, giving students opportunities to work with real data, develop practical research skills, and engage with the process of scientific discovery.
