BIO
I am a Research Assistant Scientist at the University of Florida, where my research broadly focuses on the ecology and evolution of social insects. I am particularly interested in the diversity, function, and evolution of traits involved in insect communication and group living, and I use an integrative approach combining chemical ecology, behavior, genomics, and functional genetics. My current research spans both basic and applied questions, including the molecular and chemical basis of social insect behavior, RNA interference (RNAi) for insect pest management, invasion biology and conservation genomics, and the use of microbial, chemcial, and molecular tools for detecting and monitoring invasive species.
