BIO

Dr. Zhigang (Shay) Xie is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Services Research, Management and Policy. His academic background spans preventive medicine, aging and geriatric practice, health services research, and public administration. Dr. Xie integrates a strong foundation in health services research with extensive real-world experience in implementation science, including the design, coordination, and evaluation of large-scale public health intervention programs. His research centers on aging and healthcare delivery, employing data-driven insights and rigorous, high-impact scholarship to generates actionable evidence that informs clinical practice, health system decision-making, and public policy. Dr. Xie also serves as affiliate faculty at the UF Health Cancer Institute and the University of Florida’s Center for Drug Evaluation and Safety (CoDES).
