Waseem Nabi, M.D. is a hospitalist and Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Florida. Originally from Kashmir, he earned his medical degree from Government Medical College, Srinagar, and completed his internal medicine residency and chief residency at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in Brooklyn, where he trained extensively in underserved communities.
His research focuses on cancer outcomes and health disparities, drawing on national datasets to study survival trends across lung, blood, and other cancers, work that has been published in journals like JAMA Pediatrics and featured by The Washington Post and Medscape. He's passionate about health equity and is working toward a career in Hematology-Oncology, aiming to bring that same commitment to underserved patients into cancer care.
