Tima Tavassoli

Tima Tavassoli is an Instructional Assistant Professor in Computer Science at the University of Florida. She primarily teaches Programming Fundamental courses and Special Topics in Machine Learning, emphasizing strong foundations in programming, object-oriented design, and applied machine learning through structured, hands-on learning. She received her Ph.D. in Computer Science from UF, where her research focused on applying machine learning to disease prediction using gut microbiome data.
