The University of Florida encourages early undergraduate students who are interested in adding a research experience to their curriculum at the freshman or sophomore year to apply for this entry-level program.
To participate, students must identify a research mentor and project that they will work on for two semesters, beginning Spring 2019. (The second semester will either be the following summer or fall semester). A $1,000 award will be disbursed in two parts for each semester of research.
Students are encouraged to find out how to identify a mentor by going to CURBS office hours posted on the home page or stop by Newell Hall 202 for assistance.
The application for the 2019 academic year is now closed. The application deadline for the 2020 cohort is November 15, 2019 at 5 PM.
***For students whose mentor is in the College of Engineering, you must apply through the College of Engineering. For their application, visit this site:https://www.eng.ufl.edu/graduate/about-us/undergraduate-research/emerging-scholars-program/
