BIO

I serve as a Multi-County Citrus Extension Agent, stationed at the University of Florida’s Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (UF/IFAS) Extension Office in Wauchula, where I am responsible for the counties of DeSoto, Hardee, and Manatee. I possess degrees in Agronomy from the University of Llanos in Colombia, Horticulture from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) in Brazil, and a Ph.D. in Agronomy from São Paulo State University, Brazil.

My postdoctoral research at the University of Florida’s Tropical Research and Education Center, conducted from 2022 to 2025 under the supervision of Dr. Jonathan Crane and other esteemed colleagues, concentrated on avocado cultivation. Building upon my background in fruit crops and my current focus within the citrus industry, I am committed to establishing partnerships with growers, implementing management strategies for Huanglongbing (HLB), and enhancing educational initiatives through collaboration with UF/IFAS and international research efforts.
