AG-BREEDING INSIGHT

BIO

She serves as an Assistant Scientist (Faculty) for the University of Florida’s Breeding Insight Program (UF/IFAS), which assists USDA‑ARS plant breeders nationwide by offering expertise in modern plant breeding, genomics, phenomics, and data management. After relocating from Cornell University, she now contribute to genomic analyses for a wide range of specialty crops supporting more than 23 species including hydrangea, coffee, red clover, potato, blackberry, raspberry, sugar beet, hops, alfalfa, blueberry, cranberry, cucumber, grape, hemp, honeybee, lettuce, oat, pecan, salmon, trout, sorghum, strawberry, and sweetpotato. In addition, she develops and maintains several genetic‑analysis software tools, such as OneMap for diploid and outcrossing linkage maps, the Reads2Map workflow suite for SNP and dosage calling, VIEWpoly (a Shiny app for visualizing polyploid data), Qploidy (large-scale CNV estimation), and she contributes to MAPpoly and BIGapp development. She regularly support users across diverse species, continually refining these tools in response to feedback and emerging research needs.
