RESEARCH INTERESTS

My research focuses on population genomics, particularly how genomic variation can reveal local adaptation and patterns of genetic diversity. I study these questions in both breeding and conservation, where genomic information can guide the management of populations and breeding decisions. My work spans forest trees, crop species, and animal breeding populations, with a particular interest in polyploids and species with limited genomic resources, where standard analytical approaches often need to be adapted. I also develop bioinformatics workflows and open-source software to support agricultural research. This work is intended to make genomic analyses easier to reproduce and to help researchers use genetic data in breeding and species conservation.
